Borrowdale Parish council

Here are the dates the council will meet

Unless stated otherwise, all meetings are at Borrowdale Institute, Rosthwaite, at 7.30pm on the last Wednesday of uneven numbered months.

Planning meetings

We have a limited time in which we are allowed to submit comments on planning applications. If an application cannot wait until our next scheduled meeting we will view it online (at National Park Authority). Our observations are emailed to the clerk, who forwards them to the park authority.
If an application will have a large impact, is controversial, or if any councilor decides we need to discuss it at a meeting, we will call a meeting at the above time and place but in an even numbered month.

These may be called at relatively short notice but we will try to give as much notice as possible here. If there is something you are particularly interested in it is a good idea to ask a councillor or the clerk when it will be discussed.

Who can attend?

Any member of the public can attend our meetings, they are friendly and not too formal. You will normally be allowed to speak if you wish, at the discretion of the chairman.

We welcome more public participation in our work. Please come and join us. (Go through the kitchen door at the back, and through into the back room).
